About the author

Raz Ben Netanel is VP of R&D at Native, where he leads engineering and product development for the company's cloud security platform. Before Native, he served in Israeli Military Intelligence for more than six years, including as a Cloud Platform Team Lead and Cloud Architect, building and operating large-scale cloud infrastructure and security capabilities. Earlier in his career, Raz was a cybersecurity researcher at Cyber@Ben-Gurion University and Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs at BGU, where his research focused on network security, information leakage, and privacy invasion attacks conducted by drones. He holds a BS in Telecommunications Engineering and an MS in Information Systems Engineering, both from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Raz writes on cloud platform engineering, security architecture, and the technical foundations of building security natively into large-scale cloud environments.
