About the author

Ariel Septon is a Senior Software Engineer and Security Researcher at Native, where she works at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and security, focusing on multi-cloud architecture patterns and how thoughtful policy design can prevent security drift before it begins. Before Native, she spent more than five years as a software engineer in the Israel Defense Forces, building full stack and automated systems across a range of engineering roles. Ariel is an active contributor and maintainer in the CNCF Crossplane ecosystem, including as the creator of provider-http, a Crossplane provider she built to enable HTTP-based infrastructure interactions and introduced via a lightning talk at KubeCon London. She has also spoken at fwd:cloudsec Berlin. She studied at The Open University of Israel. Ariel writes on cloud infrastructure engineering, multi-cloud design, and the role of architecture and policy in building environments that are secure by default
