About the author
Amit Megiddo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Native, a cloud security company that emerged from stealth in 2026 with $42 million in funding to build what it describes as a control plane for cloud security. Before founding Native, Amit led product management for Amazon GuardDuty from its inception, growing it into one of the world's most widely deployed cloud threat detection services. Prior to AWS, he served in Israeli Military Intelligence as Head of Intelligence Department in the IDF's Central Intelligence Unit. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Amit writes on cloud security strategy, the shift from visibility to enforcement, and what it takes to build secure-by-design environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
